Authorized Axis Camera Partner. Axis is the global leader in network video — being an authorized partner means we have factory-trained technicians, access to the full Axis product line and direct manufacturer support for warranty and RMA cases.

Full low-voltage contractor. We pull all Cat6a cabling, run conduit, mount cameras, configure NVRs and hand off a complete tested system. You don’t need to coordinate a separate cabling contractor and a separate camera installer.

18+ years of commercial experience in the GTA. We’ve installed CCTV in warehouses over 500,000 sq ft, multi-floor corporate offices, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants and retail chains — we’ve seen every environment and ceiling type in the GTA.

Fully insured, WSIB-covered, licensed low-voltage contractor. Every installation is carried out by employed, background-checked technicians — not subcontractors.

As-built documentation and commissioning package. At handoff you receive camera location drawings, NVR configuration documentation, login credentials, user training and a 1-year workmanship warranty.

Security Cameras We Install

We specify cameras based on your environment, not by category alone. Here are the primary types we install in commercial settings.

Dome Cameras (Indoor)
The standard for offices, retail, healthcare and hospitality. Vandal-resistant housing, wide-angle lens, discreet profile. Available in fixed and varifocal versions. Brands: Axis, Hikvision, Hanwha.

Bullet Cameras (Outdoor)
Long-range outdoor coverage for parking lots, building perimeters and entrance points. IR night vision to 50+ metres. IP66/67 weather-rated. Available with varifocal lenses for distance adjustment post-installation.

PTZ Cameras (Pan-Tilt-Zoom)
Motorized pan, tilt and optical zoom for large open areas. Programmable patrol routes, auto-tracking and preset positions. Used in warehouses, parking structures, campuses and live security monitoring centres.

Multi-Sensor / 360° Cameras
Single camera housing with multiple lenses providing full 180° or 360° coverage. Reduces camera count and cabling cost in large open areas. Ideal for retail floors, lobbies and warehouse intersections.

AI & Video Analytics Cameras
Edge-based analytics for object detection, line crossing, loitering detection, people counting and license plate recognition (LPR). Axis ACAP-compatible and Hikvision DeepinMind platforms. Reduces false alarms and enables operational insights beyond security.

Covert / Pinhole Cameras
Concealed surveillance for high-sensitivity areas: cash handling, pharmacies, server rooms and executive offices. Available as ceiling-flush or built-in-fixture form factors.

Frequently Asked Questions — Security Camera Installation Toronto

How much does security camera installation cost in Toronto?

Commercial security camera installation costs vary by camera count, system type, building access and cabling requirements. A small 4–8 camera IP system for a single-site office or retail location typically starts around $2,000–$4,500 fully installed including NVR, cabling and configuration. Larger systems for warehouses or multi-floor buildings are quoted on-site. Cablify provides free on-site assessments with a written fixed-price quote — call 1-877-450-2134.

How many security cameras does my business need?

It depends on your facility layout, the number of entry/exit points, and your coverage objectives. A general starting point: one camera per 400–600 sq ft of monitored space for retail; perimeter + interior zones for warehouses; entrance, reception, server room and parking for offices. Our site survey maps coverage requirements before recommending a camera count.

What is the difference between IP cameras and analog CCTV?

IP (network) cameras transmit digital video over Cat cable infrastructure and can deliver 4K resolution, onboard analytics and remote access via smartphone. Analog CCTV uses coaxial cable and is lower resolution. All new Cablify installations use IP cameras on PoE (Power over Ethernet) Cat6a infrastructure. We can also upgrade existing coaxial systems to HD-over-coax as a cost-effective midpoint before a full IP migration.

How long does a commercial CCTV installation take?

A small 8-camera single-floor installation typically takes 1 full day. A 16–32 camera multi-floor or warehouse installation takes 2–4 days. We work after hours and on weekends to minimize disruption to your operations.

Do I need a permit to install security cameras in Ontario?

Security cameras installed on private commercial property do not require a building permit in Ontario. However, cameras covering public areas, adjacent properties or used in certain regulated industries (cannabis, financial services) may be subject to PIPEDA and Ontario privacy regulations. Cablify advises on placement best practices to ensure compliance and can provide camera coverage diagrams for your records.

Can you integrate security cameras with our access control system?

Yes. Cablify regularly installs CCTV and access control together as a coordinated project. Camera events can be triggered by door access events — for example, a card reader access attempt automatically pulls up the relevant camera in your VMS. We work with Kantech, Honeywell, Genetec and Axis systems. Combined projects share cabling infrastructure and IDF rooms, reducing total installation cost.
