One thing worth checking on any quote you receive. A cabling channel performs to its weakest component, so Cat6A cable terminated into Cat6 jacks gives you a Cat6 channel. If a quote names a cable grade but does not list matching jacks, panels and patch cords, it is not that grade of install.

Can you install CCTV and access control at the same time as the cabling?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper and faster than booking separate trades. Cameras, door controllers, readers and intercoms run on the same structured cabling and the same pathways. One crew, one schedule, one set of documentation at the end, and one number to call if something needs looking at later.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Evenings and weekends where a space cannot be disturbed during the day, and we plan around retail hours and shift patterns where that matters. After hours work changes the rate and we put that in the quote up front rather than raising it afterwards.
We are moving to a new unit in Barrie. When should we book?
As early as you can, and before the ceiling closes if there is construction. Cabling has to be in and tested before switches, phones and Wi-Fi can be set up, which has to happen before staff arrive. Booking late is the most common reason a move-in date slips.
Do you certify the cabling and provide test results?
Yes. Every drop is certified with a Fluke tester to the relevant TIA limits and you receive a report per run, an as-built record and a patch panel port map. A continuity check with a cheap wire map tester is not certification and does not qualify for a manufacturer warranty.
Can you take over cabling another contractor started?
Regularly. We test what is there, tell you which drops pass and which do not, and give you a repair scope rather than a blanket recommendation to replace everything. You get the test data either way.
